HEALTH&SAFETY
1.4.1Health&safetyatwork
The LISI Group Senior Management became seriously involved at its
highest levels intheareasofhealth, safetyandtheenvironment.
Atall levels, theGrouphasas itsobjectiveto:

reach the excellence level of performance in the areas of Health and
Safety,whilekeepingcontrolover theoccupationalhazardsgenerated
by itsactivities,
n
makehealth - safetyavectorof continuous improvement, ameans to
move forward, including inareasthatarenotdirectlyrelatedto it.
In order to ensure and achieve this goal, LISI has adoptedHSE (Health
Safety Environment) policy and organization to identify key areas for
improvement, prioritize goals, and drift the appropriate actions. This
policy and organization are based on the international OHSAS 18001
standard (international standardgoverning themanagement systemof
healthandsafetyatwork).
Inorder togive itself themeans tosucceed in thisarea, eachproduction
sitehas at least ahostHSEwhosemission is to conductHSEactivityof
its industrial siteand is theguarantor of the implementationof anHSE
managementsystem.
In addition, the LISI Group has a Risk Committee whosemission is to
analyzemajor accidents and incidents of the Group and developHSE
strategies to reduceprofessional, environmental andproperty loss risk.
TheRiskCommittee is chairedbyPresident andCEOGroupLISI and the
Industrial andPurchasingDirector. It consists ofHSEDirectors for each
division, theHSECoordinator of the LISI Group (whichhe runs) and the
insurancebrokerworkingonbehalfoftheLISIGroup.
Inthefieldofsecurity,membership,andtheinvestmentofeachemployee
and each group contributor are actively sought in this improvement
processofsafety intheworkplaceatoursites.
In June 2011, anHSE Forumbrought together theManagement of each
division, all theSiteDirectorsand theHSEManagersand theLISIGroup;
theyhaveset forthemselvesambitiousgoals. Inparticular:

Certification of management system of health and safety at work
of each site (excluding-acquisition) according to the OHSAS 18001
international repository.
Theobjective isnearly reached. In fact, only4 industrial sitesoutof 33
arenot yet certified;with theagreementof theExecutiveCommittee,
thistarget isset for2014.

The rate of frequency of workplace accidents with andwithout time
offwork (TF1) forall the sitesmust fallbelow 10, and this,by including
temporaryworkersworkingonbehalfofthebusiness.
Only12siteshavereachedaTF1of lessthan10toend2013,whichshows
thatthere isstill longwaytoExcellence.
AnewHSEForumforall factoryDirectorsandHSEofficialswillbeheld in
May2014totakestockoftheachievementoftheseobjectives.
The General Directorate of LISI is strongly committed to secure a real
SafetyCulturewitheachemployee inthegroup.
First of all technically
, LISI is constantly working to improve its
workstations.Thus, in2013,LISI invested€5.3million inthefieldofsafety
andtheenvironment, includingforthesafetyof itsmachineryandforthe
implementationofergonomic facilitiesandassistance inhandling.
