In addition, the share of sorted waste is still very high, equivalent to
last year, i.e. 95.6%. The remaining portion concerns domestic waste
generatedbyproduction-relatedactivities (toilets,cafeterias,etc.).
LISIAUTOMOTIVE isthe largestproducerofwaste.This isduetothe large
quantitiesofmaterialsusedandproduced.ButLISIAUTOMOTIVE isalso
thedivisionthatbestsorts itswaste,with97.7%ofwastesorted.
LISI AEROSPACE division sorts its waste to 92%. The difference is
explainedbyagreaternumberofemployees inthisdivision,thereforethe
shareofgarbage ismore important.
TheLISIMEDICALdivision, inturn,onlyaccounts for1.6%ofthewaste.
The production plants principally generatemetallic waste (55% of the
total quantity of waste produced). These are sold for recycling. Sorted
hazardous waste, representing 32% of the total quantity of waste, is
eliminatedthroughapprovedchannelsadheringtostrictregulations.

toanactivity
The LISI Group sites follow and record all complaints - whether it is
remarks, whether formal or informal, official or not - when they come
from interested parties. Therefore, 7 complaints were recorded on all
the sites of the group. Most are linked toneighborhood inconvenience
on noise generated by some of our sites. Every complaint investigated
receivesaresponse-writtenornot-tothe interestedpartyconcerned.

SUSTAINABLEUSEOFRESOURCES
2.3.1Waterconsumptionandwatersupplyaccordingtolocal
constraints
Water is little used in the manufacturing processes implemented at
the sites. It ismainly involved in partswashing and surface treatment.
However, most processwaters are recycled. Inaddition, local initiatives
areencouragedandarenumerous.
All these cumulative initiatives resulted in a decrease of water
consumptionof 8.7%, related toproduction, between 2012 and 2013. It
isLISIAEROSPACE,whichcontributedtothebulkofthisdecrease (-21%).
2.3.2Theconsumptionofrawmaterialsandthemeasurestakento
improvetheeffectivenessoftheiruse
TheLISIGroup is very cautiousabout the consumptionof rawmaterials
andworkstooptimizetheuseoftheseresources.
The manufacturing sites primarily use metals, and to a lesser extent
plastics.
Metal work is done mainly by deformation - cold forging and hot
stamping-causingnolossofmaterialasidefromadjustments.Moresites
workdaily tooptimize theirmaterial resources (waste reduction, SMED
to reduce losses during the adjustment phases, etc.). Finally, thewaste
generatedby the final stagesofproduction (machining, sharpening) are
sortedandsent for100%materialsrecovery.
Regarding theplastic, theproductionsites thatuse this resource recover
and sort their plastic waste (core samples, scrap). Such waste is then
crushed and reintroduced into the production lines, to themaximum
extentrequiredbyourcustomers.
2.3.3Energyconsumption,measurestoimproveenergyefficiency
anduseofrenewableenergy
Energy consumption is also down. Tighter control of our consumption
andawarenessofourproductionteamsplayakeyrole inthisdecrease in
our impact on the consumptionof energy resources. Sites arepursuing
theirwastecuttingactivities.
