2.2.1Measurestoprevent,reduceorrepairemissionstoair,water
andsoilthatseriouslyaffecttheenvironment
LISI closelymonitors the direct impact its direct production sites may
have on the environment. The best technology is sought to reduce the
environmental footprintandtoanticipatepotential regulations.
The surface treatment lines generally benefit from these technologies
because their atmospheric emissions andwaste-water dischargesmay
affectthesurroundingenvironment iftheyarenotcontrolled.
The LISI Group's sites are all ISO 14001 certified. Therefore, a detailed
analysis of the environmental impact, the so-called "Environmental
Analysis", iscarriedoutbyeachofthem.Tomaintainthiscertification,the
sitesmust implement actions to reduce the environmental footprint of
thoseactivitiesortasks identifiedasthemostsignificant.
2.2.2Measurestoprevent,recycle,andeliminatewaste
Thewasteproduction indicator is, for2014, 59.3kgofwaste for€1,000of
addedvalue .
In addition, theproportionofwaste sorted is still very high, equivalent
to last year, or 93.9%. The remaining portion concerns domesticwaste
generatedbyproduction-relatedactivities (toilets,cafeterias,etc.).
The LISI AUTOMOTIVE division is the largest producer of waste. This
is due to the large quantities ofmaterials used and produced. But LISI
AUTOMOTIVE is also the division that best sorts its waste, with 95.5%
ofwastesorted.
LISIAEROSPACEsorts92%of itswaste.Thedifference isexplainedbythe
greater number of employees in this division, therefore the amount of
householdwaste isgreater.
TheLISIMEDICALdivision, inturn,onlyaccounts for1.7%ofthewaste.
The production plants principally generate metallic waste (55% of
the total quantity of waste produced). These are sold for recycling.
Dangerous waste sorted, which represents 30% of the total quantity
of waste, is removed via authorized channels that abide strictly by
applicableregulations.

The LISI Group's sites follow and record all complaints - whether
comments, formal or informal, official or not - issued by stakeholders.
Thus, six complaints were recorded throughout the Group's sites. The
majority are related to neighborhood disturbances arising from noise
generatedbycertainofoursites.Eachcomplaintreceivesareply-written

2.3.1 Waterconsumptionandwatersupplyaccordingtolocal
constraints
Water is little used in the manufacturing processes implemented at
the sites. It ismainly involved in partswashing and surface treatment.
However, most processwaters are recycled. Inaddition, local initiatives
areencouragedandarenumerous.
All these accumulated initiatives provided for a reduction in water
consumptionof 5.4%, asa ratioof valueadded,between2013and2014.
LISI AUTOMOTIVEhasprovided themain contribution to this reduction
(-12%).
2.3.2Theconsumptionofrawmaterialsandthemeasurestakento
improvetheeffectivenessoftheiruse
TheLISIGroup is very cautiousabout the consumptionof rawmaterials
andworkstooptimizetheuseoftheseresources.
The manufacturing sites primarily use metals, and to a lesser extent
plastics.
Metal work is done mainly by deformation - cold forging and hot
stamping-causingnolossofmaterialasidefromadjustments.Moresites
workdaily tooptimize theirmaterial resources (waste reduction, SMED
to reduce losses during the adjustment phases, etc.). Finally, thewaste
generatedby the final stagesofproduction (machining, sharpening) are
sortedandsent for100%materialsrecovery.
