The use of composite materials for fan blades of new-
generation reactors requiresperfecting reinforcements for the
leading edges. These blades must indeed be dressed with a
titaniumcaptowithstand impactscausedbybirds,iceblocksor
otherobjects. LISIAEROSPACECreuzetpositioned themselves
at an early stage on development, then the manufacture of
leading edges of this type, originally intended for various
versions of theGE90. This development has led the company
to conceive and then develop the disruptive technologies to
form this technical elementofwhich the sectionand formare

Developed by CFM International (1), the new Leap engine is
also equipped with these composite turbofan blades. This
turbofan engine was retained by 3 aircraft manufacturers to
equip their futuremediumhaul aircraft: the Leap 1 designed
for theAirbusA320NEO; the 1BLeap for theBoeing737MAX;
Leap 1C for theChineseCOMACC919aircraft. LISIAEROSPACE
Creuzet was selected by SNECMA to develop these titanium
leading edges for the engines and to ensure industrialization
betweennowand2016.
